With a long and proud history, the Pooncarie Racing Club was established in 1891. The annual Pooncarie Cup meeting is an enjoyable and unique outback experience of country horse racing.
Six event programs for registered horses with six serious on-course bookmakers and tote. The Cup is sponsored by the Community Bank Wentworth & District.
Get dressed up for Fashions on the Field. Hot and cold food is available, and cold drinks as well as bar facilities.
The township of Pooncarie is set on the banks of the Darling River making it a fantastic opportunity to bring the family along for a weekend of horse racing, camping and fishing.
In the evening, enjoy the live band entertainment on stage outside the Pooncarie Hotel.
