Overview of this event
The Northern Beaches Unique Festival is a vibrant celebration of Aboriginal music, culture, and community spirit, led by Yaegl man Michael Birk. This special event showcases the talents of renowned Aboriginal musicians, including Stiff Gins, Michael Birk and The Recognisers, Aunty Cyndy Drummond, Black Turtles, Nadeena Dixon, and Magpie.
Held in the lead-up to NAIDOC Week, the festival offers a meaningful and joyful way to honour and engage with First Nations culture. Before the music begins, attendees are invited to join a free storytelling session and guided walk through the regenerating bushland, followed by a warming soup supper to share in community and connection.
This event brings together diverse communities in a spirit of collaboration and respect. It is presented in partnership with the Frenchs Forest Catholic Parish Social Justice Group and the Kierans Creek Landcare Group, with support from Mona Vale Music.
