Overview of this event
Everyone has memories or stories they would like to tell and keep. Stitching these onto a tea towel can be a great way to preserve and share them. Whether you're a complete beginner or a serious stitcher, this workshop will give you the space and atmosphere to stitch away to your heart's content. Bring along those stories and Fiona will help you convert them into beautifully stitched mementos. And if you're a complete beginner, there will be some hands-on demonstrations to help you get started.
A linen tea towel and small embroidery hoop will be provided. Some reference materials and threads will be available if you need something extra.
Additional items to bring along include a sketch pad or paper, a pencil, threads in the colours you like, photos, memorabilia, ideas and stories you might like to work with.
Morning tea will be provided.
