Overview of this event
Bankstown Arts Centre presents two bold and captivating new works for Sydney Festival's 50th anniversary.
Inviting audiences to celebrate the beauty of diverse and accessible art, Bankstown Arts Centre presents performances and workshops from Grammy-nominated Tibetan artist Tenzin Choegyal (16-18th January) and the world premiere of a moving double bill dance work Sisa-Sisa (23-24 January).
Grammy-nominated Tibetan artist Tenzin Choegyal has performed around the world at major venues like New York's Carnegie Hall and now takes up residence at Bankstown Arts Centre.
Newly commissioned by Bankstown Arts Centre with support from Sydney Festival and Create NSW, Sisa-Sisa is a moving double-bill of two searingly personal solos by Alfira O'Sullivan and Murtala.
