Overview of this event
Remember this young classical guitar-playing phenomenon who launched their 2025 Summer season! And if you missed it, you probably heard from those who attended that his performance was outstanding. Tommaso Girotto is returning to Braidwood with a wonderfully diverse program, and this is one you don't want to miss, performing works by Bach, Sculthorpe, Crivici, Takemitsu, Albeniz and Dean.
Tommaso Girotto is a young Australian guitarist who has dedicated himself to his passion for music. In 2016, he received a scholarship to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the tuition of Vladimir Gorbach. He later received a scholarship to study Allan Neave and Ian Watt at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland — receiving an Honours of the First Class. In 2024, Tommaso completed a Master of Music at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz - Köln under Goran Krivokapić.
Tommaso has won various competitions within Australia and has competed in the finals of international guitar competitions. And he had the opportunity to work with Émilie Fend — performing Joaquín Rodrigo's Concierto Madrigal in Italy and Germany.
