Overview of this event
Learn the ancient craft of weaving in the dappled shade of the trees at Yarrawarra and learn the various traditional weaving techniques of the Gumbaynggirr People.
Gumbaynggirr Weaver and Artist, Lilly Clegg, teaches a different weaving style each month and provides all the fibres and decorations. Attendees are also welcome to bring fibres of their own to use or share. Donations of Bangalow Palm Fronds (the chunky ends) for making water-carriers are always a welcome donation.
