Education

The NSW Government is committed to giving our kids the best start in life. That means delivering the very best school infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing population, and to support modern, flexible teaching and learning.

Since 2011, the NSW Government has completed 176 new and upgraded schools, (including 44 new or relocated schools and 132 major school upgrades) delivered approximately 2,930 new classrooms and created more than 50,650 additional student places. This is in addition to ongoing investment in our existing portfolio of over 2,200 schools around the state, ensuring they are fit for the changing needs of our students.

Since 2011 the NSW Government has completed 176 new and upgraded schools

Completed projects and initiatives include:

Inner Sydney High School.
Parramatta Public School redevelopment.
Arthur Phillip High School.
Cooler Classrooms Program.
TAFE Connected Learning Centres.
Six new schools in growing parts of Western Sydney, including Barramurra Public School in Catherine Field and Galungara Public School in Schofields.
Two new regional schools including Estella Public School in Wagga Wagga.
The $121 million upgrade of Armidale Secondary College.
Upgrades at Braidwood Central School, Murrumbidgee Regional High School and Ashtonfield Public School.
Upgrades across Metropolitan Sydney include Parramatta West Public School and Kingswood High School.
