Congratulate our athletes from home
Australia's 486 Olympians and 179 Paralympians did the country proud with their incredible sporting skills at the Tokyo 2020 Games.
The Sydney Opera House sails were illuminated in recognition of the amazing efforts of these 665 athletes. Their faces were projected one by one onto the iconic Opera House sails over a 5.5-hour period, starting with the Paralympians and followed by the Olympians.
Just as you watched our athletes compete in Tokyo from your living room, you can view these outstanding athletes safely from home.
The celebration was streamed live on Sunday, 5 September 2021.
