2022 NSW Women of the Year Awards Sponsors
Aware Super—sponsor of the NSW Community Hero of the Year Award
Previously known as First State Super, we changed our name to Aware Super in September 2020. First State Super has been the fund for people who value community as well as personal gain since 1992.
In July 2020 we merged with VicSuper and together we are one of Australia’s largest super funds, managing more than $120 billion in savings for more than 1 million members.
Our members work in roles that breathe life into their communities and they expect us to do the same. So we invest in assets that we believe will make a positive difference today - improving our communities, building a more sustainable economy and supporting employment both locally and globally at the same time as providing strong long-term returns.
We are proud to have been recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality. We value the important role women play and the contribution they make to our organisation, to our society and to the economy.

NSW Minerals Council— sponsor of the NSW Regional Woman of the Year Award

The NSW Minerals Council is the leading industry association representing the state's minerals industry, providing a united voice for our members.
Mining is a key economic driver for the state, supporting thousands of jobs and generating economic activity, especially in regional NSW, and providing taxes and royalties to the NSW Government which support essential infrastructure and the services we all rely on like nurses, teachers and police.
The NSW Minerals Council works closely with governments, industry groups and business and community leaders so our member companies can continue to operate as part of a strong, responsible and sustainable mining industry in NSW.
We support an effective regulatory framework in which the industry can operate profitably and make a meaningful contribution to the state and the people of NSW.
The NSW Minerals Council champions innovation and leading practice in our industry to help improve the health and safety of our people and minimise our impacts on the environment.
And as the peak industry body we promote the important role mining plays in society, the good things mining brings to NSW and the contribution of our members and mining families.
