Struggletown, population: NSW Labor
NSW Labor have been caught asleep at the wheel, issuing two embarrassing media releases in one day.
Yesterday Jodi McKay and Adam Searle called on John Barilaro and the NSW Nationals to stop jobs cuts at Essential Energy, whilst in a separate media release, Paul Scully called on the Government to announce round 6 funding under the Resources for Regions program.
NSW Deputy Premier and Nationals leader John Barilaro has slammed NSW Labor for this monumental stuff up, stating he had already called on Essential Energy to immediately halt to any plans to cut any jobs back on July 3, whilst announcing all projects under round 6 Resources for Regions back in June.
“NSW Labor is months behind on both issues, this just goes to show what they really think of regional NSW,” Mr Barilaro said.
“In relation to Essential Energy, I met with the CEO on July 5, while my Chief of Staff has been in direct contact with the NSW ETU Secretary, Justin Page.
“As for calling for funding announcements under Resources for Regions, if it was up to NSW Labor there would be no Resources for Regions as they would shut down every mine in the state.
“This display just shows NSW Labor is all for political opportunities and not real opportunities in regional NSW.
“Unlike NSW Labor, the NSW Nationals have been and always will be a party that fights for regional NSW. Labor has done nothing but sit back and support the loss of jobs in the forestry and mining industries. They no longer support the workers of this great state, and should be ashamed of this dismal effort to seem relevant”.
