NSW Premier Mike Baird today announced the appointment of Tim Reardon as Secretary, Transport for NSW, and Martin Hoffman as Secretary, NSW Department of Finance, Services & Innovation.
Mr Reardon has been Acting Secretary since February 2015. He joined Transport for NSW in 2011 as Deputy Secretary and has 25 years’ experience in the transport sector.
Mr Hoffman joins the NSW public service from the Commonwealth where he has been Deputy Secretary of the Department of Industry and Science since 2010. He has extensive private sector experience across the technology, media and telecommunications industries.
Mr Baird said he was looking forward to working closely with both Secretaries to improve the lives of people across NSW.
“Tim and Martin are outstanding candidates who bring dynamism and vast experience to these critical roles in delivering government services to the public,” Mr Baird said.
“Tim will provide strong leadership at Transport for NSW as we ramp up our bold infrastructure agenda, including Australia’s biggest public transport project, Sydney Metro.
“A priority of this government is to embrace innovation and new technology to drive excellence in customer service. Martin’s mix of public sector and business experience makes him the ideal person to head up this newly-formed department.”
