About us

Our role is to work in partnership with Community to influence Government, ensure accountability and drive positive change. Our work includes:

Our purpose

We connect, listen, and advocate to lead accountability and change across Government, while contributing to the broader community. This purpose statement helps guide every decision, action, and plan for the agency.

The Registrar of the Aboriginal Land Rights Act is an independent statutory appointment. The Office of the Registrar Aboriginal Land Rights Act supports the appointed Registrar. Aboriginal Affairs NSW employees make up the staff of The Office of the Registrar Aboriginal Land Rights Act.

Code of Conduct

This is the Code of Conduct for The Department of Premier and Cabinet. This document provides practical help to our staff in resolving ethical dilemmas.

The Code of Conduct offers guidance on staff expectations in relation to ethical conduct.

All employees are required to act in the spirit of the Code.

Dignity Respect Charter

Aboriginal Affiars NSW has committed to a Dignity and Respect in the Workplace Charter.

We commit to building a capable and responsive workforce that is representative of the community we serve. This means creating an environment where the diversity of all those who work for us and who we work for is respected.

All employees have a right to work in an environment that is free from all forms of bullying. Every employee has the right to dignity and respect regardless of their background, beliefs, or culture. They also have the right to work to their highest potential.
