Eligibility for voluntary assisted dying
Eligible people in NSW may legally ask for medical help to end their life. This is called voluntary assisted dying.
To be eligible for voluntary assisted dying a person must be in the late stages of an advanced disease, illness or medical condition and must also be experiencing suffering they find unbearable. People can only access voluntary assisted dying in NSW if they meet all eligibility criteria and follow the process outlined in the law. This includes getting approval from the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Board

Care Navigation Service
The Murrumbidgee Local Health District Voluntary Assisted Dying Care Navigation Service aims to provide a person-centred approach for supporting patients and their loved ones, as close to home as possible.
This care is offered across all communities in Murrumbidgee and can be provided in various settings including home, community residential aged care, acute care facilities and multipurpose services.
