What are the aims of the CBP?
The CBP aims to increase social enterprises’ organisational capability to deliver outcomes for women facing disadvantage. In the medium and longer term, the CBP aims to increase the innovation and sustainability of women-focussed social enterprises and the wider sector to deliver better outcomes, services and value.
Who can apply?
This opportunity is for social enterprises. To be considered a social enterprise, an organisation must satisfy each of the criteria below:
be established with a social, cultural or environmental purpose consistent with a public and/or community benefit
trade commercially to fulfil their purpose
derive a substantial portion of their income from trading commercially
reinvest the majority of their surplus in the fulfilment of their purpose
Social Traders certification can be used to demonstrate the social enterprise definition is met.
The CBP’s focus is on supporting social enterprises that deliver outcomes for women facing disadvantage to improve their health, economic independence, and/or wellbeing. This may include but is not limited to providing:
employment/pathways to employment
job readiness/entrepreneurship support
education/training
products/services.
The CBP will support both:
early-stage social enterprises (who have traded commercially for between 3 months and 2 years)
established social enterprises (who have traded commercially for at least 2 years).
Priority will be given to First Nations women-focused social enterprises, women led social enterprises and social enterprises in regional/remote locations.
What tailored capability building services will be offered?
Sefa will support:

early-stage social enterprises across two regional hubs, including online learning modules, intensive in person workshops, 1:1 tailored support and peer-to-peer learning. Place-based, culturally appropriate services will be delivered in collaboration with local community partners.

established social enterprises with 1:1 tailored support including focusing on impact strategy, increasing organisational resilience, supporting investment readiness and exploring fit for purpose financing pathways.
Social Impact Hub will support established social enterprises with:

tailored advisory services to build organisational capability in areas including strategy development, business model and governance reviews, impact measurement, financial modelling, diversifying revenue, and investment readiness and

education (masterclasses and online learning modules).
