Rozelle Interchange equipped with Public Safety Network coverage
Emergency Services Organisations will be able to stay connected in the most complex underground interchange in Australia.
NSW Telco Authority has equipped the recently opened Rozelle Interchange with Public Safety Network (PSN) coverage via an extensive In-Building Coverage (IBC) solution.
Next to Australia’s triple zero emergency hotline, the PSN is the most critical communications network in NSW.
The PSN is a radio communications network that allows Emergency Services Organisations to communicate and coordinate responses to critical incidents and disasters on a single, shared network.
In the event of an incident, emergency services will now be able to use the communications they need to assist people in the most complex underground interchange in Australia.
The mega tunnel complex recently opened to the public, marking the completion of the NSW Government’s WestConnex project.
The 24-kilometre stretch of tunnels connects Sydney’s west and south-west to the CBD and inner west, serving over 100,000 commuters every day.
The IBC solution is the result of tireless work and collaboration over several years with our PSN customers and WestConnex contractors.
