Find out if your occupation is included in the Automatic Mutual Recognition (AMR) scheme.
Select your occupational group
Select the occupational group relating to the work you want to carry out in NSW below. You will then be able to find your occupation and see if it is included in the AMR scheme.
When you click on an occupation, you will find the following information:
- Confirmation of whether the activities under this licence are included in AMR from 1 December 2022
- Activities permitted under a licence of this type in NSW
- Advice on compliance with NSW laws related to this licence
- A link to notify the regulator, if you are required to notify of your intention to work in NSW under AMR for these activities.
If an occupation is not intended to commence in the AMR scheme until 1 July 2023, or excluded all together, this information will be provided under the licence information.
Here is an example
If you are a licensed bricklayer in another state who is interested in working as a bricklayer in NSW, click on the Building Work category. This will take you to a page listing two licences related to bricklaying: an Endorsed Contractor Licence and a Qualified Supervisor Certificate. You will then see if these licences are included in the AMR scheme.
