About this event

Rethink disability.

The goal?
To challenge how you see workplace disability and inclusion. At this afternoon event we will rock the foundations of what diversity, equity, dignity and accessibility really mean in our workplaces.  

With the theme “Rethink disability” Let’s Rock NSW will be asking everyone to raise the bar, shout out achievements and shine a light on people with disability growing their careers in the NSW public service. 

Who should attend?
Everyone in the NSW public service is invited! Whether you’re a person with disability, advocate or colleague, Let’s Rock NSW has something for you. Be prepared to question the status quo and shift your mindset about disability. This event will show how we all benefit from inclusive and diverse workplaces.

Meet the speakers

Keynote speaker: Dylan Alcott AO

World-renowned wheelchair tennis player with 23 quad wheelchair Grand Slam titles and a Golden Slam. Motivational speaker. Paralympic gold medallist. Former Australian of the Year. Mosh pit legend.

Dylan is our headline act and will lead a defying and motivating discussion.

A panel of expert speakers will spark conversation as they dive deep into some of the barriers we face as we pursue more diverse workplaces.

With the theme ‘Rethink disability’ this legendary event aims to disrupt how you see disability and inclusion. We will showcase fresh direction and enthusiasm in welcoming people with disability in our workplaces.

You’ll leave with a fresh perspective on disability.

Accessibility and inclusion information

We want everyone to have a positive experience at our event, and that means making it accessible and inclusive to all. We've taken several steps to provide equitable participation including providing Auslan interpreters, hearing loops, accessible parking and a sensory space.

If you're unable to attend in person, we're live streaming the event and providing recordings for viewing later. Additionally, we offer pre-event tours and ambassador volunteers to help those who may need assistance with technology or other requirements.
