More quality social and affordable homes in Caringbah

What’s happening?

The State Significant Development Application was lodged with the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI) in October 2025 and was on public exhibition from 23 October to 6 November 2025. 

Homes NSW has prepared a Response To Submissions report, which is publicly available on the DPHI website. Visit the DPHI project webpage for more information. The project was approved on 26 June 2026.

This redevelopment project includes the construction of two new residential flat buildings delivering 164 high-quality social and affordable homes, a communal room for residents, basement car parking and landscaping across the site.

Our Community Housing Provider, BaptistCare will deliver and manage the homes.

Next steps

1. Demolition of existing buildings on site will commence in late 2026.
2. Construction is due to commence by mid-2027 and be completed in early 2029.  

These timeframes may be subject to change due to weather and other circumstances.
