On Wednesday 3 December 2025, we celebrated International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD). IDPwD is a United Nations (UN) day held each year and recognised worldwide to promote community awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disability. IDPwD is an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions and achievements of the 5.5 million people living with disability in Australia, who make up 21% of the Australian population.
