NSW opened on Monday 11 October 2021 as the state passed the 70% double vaccination target.

Restrictions have been further eased on Monday 18 October 2021 as the state meet the 80% double-dose milestone. Find out about the path forward for all NSW.

Further reopening at 80% fully vaccinated

From Monday 18 October restrictions have eased further, particularly for those who are fully vaccinated, as the state met the 80% double vaccination milestone.

Fully reopened from 1 December 2021

Restrictions are expected to ease in December with most venues moving to the 2sqm rule and those people not fully vaccinated having greater freedoms.

Vaccination in NSW

  • Estimated population coverage uses population estimates at 30 June 2021 based on the Australian Bureau of Statistics estimated resident population and population projections based on data from the NSW Department of Planning and Environment. Vaccination Data Source: Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) – Services Australia.
  • The data in this graph is refreshed twice a week on Tuesday and Friday.
