Program objective
The purpose of this Grant is to build the capacity, leadership and governance of Aboriginal Governance Groups as well as enable the Groups to engage with, and represent, their nominated communities, in order for them to become stronger community organisations and explore their community aspirations within the LDM Program. The four key Program Outcomes for Local Decision Making are:
• Transforming the way community and government do business and work together,
• Community driven decision-making for service delivery,
• Recognising the importance of Aboriginal culture is central to effective shared decision making, and
• Supporting and strengthening the voices of Aboriginal people and communities in NSW at a grassroots level.
This program is administered by Aboriginal Affairs.
