Cudgen Headland SLSC clubhouse was built in the early 1960's. The current roof is approximately 20 years old and despite routine maintenance, the roof now requires urgent replacement due to corrosion. The current condition of the roof is dangerous, and the works would address the risk of further deterioration and ensure compliance with Australian Standards. This funding will be used to replace the entire roof on our Clubhouse building.

This project will deliver the replacement of the existing non-compliant and deteriorating gas boosted solar hot water system, with an efficient commercial electric boosted solar hot water system. The upgraded system will be boosted by the excess electricity produced by our existing 200kWh PV system. This will significantly reduce our utility costs and reduce our environmental impact. The project will also include the installation of two shower mixers in the club's disabled bathroom. The bathroom is near the First Aid room, and it will enable lifesavers to treat marine stings quickly and efficiently.
