I would like some advice on age-appropriate and engaging activities for Youth Week. Who can I discuss my ideas with?

Contact the NSW Office for Youth (info@officeforyouth.nsw.gov.au) to schedule a meeting with the Youth Week team to discuss your plans.

I am running Youth Week activities in my local area but not with the local council. I would like to be advertised on the Youth Week website. How do I do this?

We encourage you to get in touch with your local council to explore collaboration opportunities.

If your local council provides a written endorsement of your event, they can invite you to register to add your event to the Youth Week website.

How can councils work with non-government organisations to deliver Youth Week activities?

Councils can:

  • Actively reach out to the community to see what non-government organisations are doing in your local area,
  • Provide a way for these organisations to register interest to partner with you
  • Run a competition for young people in your local community to submit ideas for future Youth Week events and activities.

NSW Youth Week 2026

Get ready for the 2026 New South Wales Youth Week.

Youth Week is an opportunity for young people across New South Wales to come together in their local communities. It is an opportunity to have our voices heard, take action, and advocate for things in our community, showcase our talents, attend live events, celebrate ourselves and each other, and to most importantly have fun.

The theme for this year is ‘Dream. Dare. Do.’

Encourage young people to live with courage to dream big and take positive steps towards their dreams. It runs from 16th to the 26th of April, with lots of events happening all across New South Wales. Get involved and find out what‘s happening near you at nsw.gov.au/youthweek.
