The NSW Seniors Christmas Concerts are free performances presented by the NSW Department of Communities and Justice to thank NSW seniors for their valued and ongoing contributions to their families and communities.

The concerts will be held in:

Broken Hill

Venue: Broken Hill Civic Centre

Date: Thursday 28 November 2024

Times: 10am and 1pm

Cessnock

Venue: Performance Arts Culture Cessnock Theatre 

Date: Thursday 12 December 2024

Times: 10am and 1pm

Moree

Venue: Moree Services Club

Date: Wednesday 18 December 2024

Times: 10am and 1pm

Christmas Concerts talent 2024

Arlo Sim

Arlo Sim

Arlo Sim is a Sydney-based singer-songwriter whose music moves seamlessly between folk, indie and jazz. Currently undergoing a Bachelor of Music (performance), majoring in Jazz Vocals, he brings his own life experience and influences from artists like Jeff Buckley and Fleet Foxes, and jazz stalwarts such as Chet Baker, Nat King Cole, and Kurt Elling.

Arlo's passion for music began at the very young age of 11 when he made his debut on the Opera House stage. He is passionate about mentoring young, aspiring musicians. Arlo made his way through the ranks of Schools Spectacular, from Arena choir, all the way through to being a featured artist. A graduate of the esteemed Talent Development Project, he utilised this opportunity to begin his songwriting journey. 

Mentored by Keith Urban, in 2021 Arlo came 2nd in The Voice Australia and released his debut single “Falling Under” that same year.

Amy Lehpamer

Amy Lehpamer

Amy has just finished an 18 month run in the hit pop musical & Juliet as Anne Hathaway (wife of Shakespeare, thank you very much). And you may have seen her on ABCTV in Australian Epic in Summer of '24.

but before all that..

Amy earned nation-wide critical acclaim playing Maria in The Sound of Music, receiving the 2015 Sydney Theatre Award for best Actress in a Musical, as well as Helpmann and Glug award nominations. She was Helpmann nominated in 2017 for her portrayal of pop and soul icon Dusty Springfield in the Australian hit musical Dusty for The Production Company in Melbourne and Adelaide. Amy played lyricist and hit-maker Cynthia Weil in the Australian premiere cast of Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and was awarded the 2018 Helpmann for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical for the role.

Liz Player

Liz Player

Liz Player is an emerging Sydney based jazz vocalist currently studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. As a 6-time Schools Spectacular Featured Artist and graduate of the Talent Development Project, Liz has sung on some of the largest stages in Australia including Qudos Bank Arena, The Opera House and the ICC.

Whilst gigging all around Sydney she has toured with major artists such as Jane Rutter and Jessica O’Donoghue. Having completed three sold-out headline shows with her band the Player Quartet, she has recently released her first album “Liz Player | Live At Foundry 616”.

After finishing her Bachelor of Jazz Performance in 2025, Liz aims to become part of the New York jazz scene and begin a Master’s Degree. 

Will Skarpona

Will Skarpona

Will Skarpona is a 19-year-old performer from the South Coast of NSW. He is a true stage animal who has been delighting audiences with his larger-than-life personality since the age of 7.

Will has appeared in over 30 theatrical productions and in 2022, graduated from the esteemed Talent Development Project. He was also a co-host and Featured Artist in Schools Spectacular. Will performed his first cabaret “Life is a Cabaret” to a sold-out audience and most recently, hosted the 2023 Southern Stars Arena Spectacular. He is currently completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Music Theatre) at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne.

Will is thrilled to be joining the incredible company of performers to bring holiday cheer and celebrate the contributions of NSW Seniors.

Emily Kate

Emily Kate is a singer/songwriter and contemporary artist from NSW Australia.

Emily participated on Season 12 of The Voice Australia. Emily’s journey on The Voice led her to come second on Rita Ora’s team.

From a young age Emily had found her love and connection to music and plans to share this love through her upcoming releases.

Emily hopes to continue to write and develop her music for the rest of her life.
