Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure
The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure’s (DPHI) North Coast Regional Plan 2036 set a target of delivering 40% of new dwellings as multi-dwelling housing. The Council believes this is realistic and achievable given the opportunities provided by infill and renewal localities.
DPHI has developed a Coffs Harbour Regional City Action Plan to provide a framework to manage and shape the city’s future growth in alignment to the Regional Plan. Improving the diversity of housing types in the city and surrounding precincts is a key outcome of the Action Plan.
Community housing providers
Approximately 1,200 dwellings owned by the Homes NSW in Coffs Harbour LGA are managed by community housing providers.
