Time extension for Resilient Homes Program
Homeowners now have more time to complete works in the Northern Rivers and Central West.
Flood impacted homeowners across the Northern Rivers and Central West now have more time to make decisions to raise or retrofit homes under an extension to the Resilient Homes Program (RHP).
We recognise that it takes time to seek quotes from builders and then get works underway. Under the updated timelines, scope of works can be submitted up to June 2027. Resilient Measures grant funded works can be completed up to December 2028.
Support services will continue to be provided to help you progress through the program.

Frequently Asked Questions
The extension supports homeowners who are still working through their options, whether that is completing works, securing builders or house raise contractors or waiting for land to become available for relocation. It provides more time, less pressure and greater certainty.
Homeowners undertaking raising or retrofitting now have until mid June 2027 to finalise designs and submit a quoted scope of works for grant funding, and have until December 2028 to complete works and make final payment claims.
Each contract to relocate a home will have a different timeframe, with all homes to be relocated as soon as possible to progress future land use outcomes for buyback land.
If you are part of the Resilient Lands Program, RA will consider amending your current timeframe to better align to land availability. Please contact RA if you need more information or support about your specific circumstances.
Existing contractual arrangements continue to apply. The extension relates to overall program timelines. Please contact RA if you need more information or support about your specific circumstances.
