TRP 22-19 Women’s economic opportunities in the NSW labour market and the impact of early childhood education and care

This paper shares new research done by NSW Treasury after the 2021-22 NSW Intergenerational Report, as part of the Women’s Economic Opportunities Review.

This paper looks at what drives the unequal outcomes between women and men in the NSW job market. Using this information, it creates a model to estimate how improving the affordability, availability, and quality of early childhood education and care (ECEC) could impact these differences.
