Generations is a fellowship program in partnership with Sound NSW, Powerhouse Museum and Blacktown Arts to support Western Sydney (early career) contemporary musicians/bands and their development within the NSW music industry.

Eligible applications are reviewed by an assessment panel comprising industry stakeholders, Sound NSW, Powerhouse Museum & Blacktown Arts personnel.
Applications must be submitted via the SmartyGrants online portal.

Yes, but any changes must be pre-approved by Sound NSW and comply with the funding agreement’s terms.
Yes. Sound NSW may contact grantees up to three years after funding to evaluate program outcomes and impact.
You can only submit 1 application for Generations Western Sydney Music Fellowship 2025/26.
Grants may be considered part of your income and may be subject to tax. You must determine your own taxation responsibilities. We suggest you consult your financial adviser or contact the Australian Taxation Office on 13 28 66.
No, all members of an act must be considered early-career to be eligible.
