The NSW Digital Skills & Workforce Compact supports teachers and students by sharing programs that help teachers upskill their knowledge in teaching the new computing syllabuses and keeping pace with the latest industry trends.

- See Yourself in Cyber

Thursday 11 June 2026 at Keira High School
Interested in a career in cyber security? NSW Department of Education high school students in years 9 – 12 can participate in the See Yourself in Cyber program. Students will learn cyber security skills and techniques including coding, cryptography and OSINT. To register for this program, students should connect with the Careers Advisor at their school.

- BiG Day In
Parramatta: Tuesday 2 June
Now in its 16th year, the BiG Day In is a long-running national STEM career event, designed by students for students. This exciting event offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of technology and discover the careers of the future through engaging activities and industry insights.

Save the Date: Students tackle real world complex problems using data analysis in challenges provided by various government departments and industry partners.

- The NSW Department of Education TAS Statewide Staffroom hosts regular webinars featuring guest industry speakers on topics aligned with the digital syllabuses, followed by interactive Q&A sessions.
In 2026, webinar topics include Web and App Development, Networks, GitHub, Games and Simulations, Automated Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analysis and Visualisation, Project Management and UX/UI.
NSW Department of Education staff can add these webinars to their calendar from the 02. Professional Learning channel in the TAS Statewide Staffroom on Microsoft Teams.
