To support, reach and engage culturally and linguistically diverse communities across NSW, translated assets are essential.

Get Ready Multicultural Communities

People from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities can now access practical information about Australia's seven most common natural hazards: bushfires, floods, cyclones, storms, heatwaves, earthquakes and tsunamis.

Resources are available in Arabic, Cantonese, Dari, Korean, Mandarin, Nepali, Punjabi, Spanish, Thai and Vietnamese. Easy Read versions are also available to make the information easier to understand.

The resources include videos, fact sheets, posters and digital materials that provide important information on how to prepare for natural hazards.

By making this information available in 10 languages, more people can understand disaster risks, prepare for emergencies and stay safe when disasters happen.

These assets have been developed alongside Multicultural NSW who are the leading government translation agency with over 40 years’ experience. All their translations are completed by NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters) certified translators in Australia.
