Program objective
The objective of the grant is to equip trade skills migrants with local knowledge to improve employment outcomes and workplace integration. The training program will address a range of potential workplace barriers, including:
- Trade and worksite communication
- Language, literacy, and numeracy development for the construction sector.
- Cultural expectations on construction sites.
- Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and accreditation.
- Recruitment and workplace readiness.
