Program objective
The objective of the Farmer Mental Health Pilot Grant is to trial a mental wellbeing program that targets farmers in the North Coast region of NSW as an integrated service within the Rural Financial Counselling Service The outcomes achieved by this program include:
- Relieve stressors and improve the wellbeing of farm business owners, their staff and family
- Increase knowledge and skills of clients to better understand options available to improve wellness
- Help prevent further mental health issues for farm business owners, their staff and families
- Better prepare farm business owners to deal with risks and stressors
This program is funded and administered by Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
