Projects objectives
The grants will support two voluntary pilot projects over two years to trial collaborative approaches between councils that strengthen service reliability, improve drought resilience, and ensure investment is targeted to priority local needs.The pilot projects will inform ongoing investigations into future alternative funding models for NSW Local Water Utilities.

Recipients of these grants were selected to meet the projects objectives, in line with the recommendations of the NSW Productivity and Equality Commission’s Review of Funding Models for Local Water Utilities. Eligible recipients volunteered to participate in the pilot projects and were required to meet the objectives.
