Program objective
The key objectives of the funding should align to the NSW Government and the Office of Sport Strategic Plan and include:
- Participation: improve participation in sport and active recreation, including under-represented or marginalised groups such as women and girls, people with disability, First Nations peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities, LGBTQIA+ people and those experiencing hardship, by catering to their diverse needs.
- Partnerships and Investment: Increase recognition of sport and active recreation as an important contributor to government priorities. Support events that celebrate the achievements of a sport and active recreation club and/or association and its volunteers and participants.
- Facilities and Spaces: Enable an inclusive and accessible network of sport and active recreation facilities by enhancing their availability, diversity, and fitness-for-purpose.
- Sector Growth: Prioritise infrastructure that increases utilisation and aligns with environmental sustainability and climate resilience principles.
- Sector Sustainability: Increase the organisational health of the sport sector.
