About the Project
The Minto Multicultural Community Centre Enhancement projectwill upgrade the current hall into a versatile space. This project will deliver a new kitchen, loading area, storage and new meeting and interview spaces.
The centre will support programs targeting youth suicide; people experiencing homelessness; food insecurity; family and domestic violence; and social or cultural isolation.
Project Scope
The project will include:
- Better capacity to store and supply meals for vulnerable people in the community
- A centre for food preparation during disasters like flood, fire, heatwaves and pandemics
- Shade and storage area for community programs
- A breakout meeting room for financial and counselling support programs
