About the Project

The Campbelltown Sport and Health Centre of Excellence Project involves the delivery and management of a Sport and Health Centre of Excellence (CoE) at Leumeah, within the Campbelltown Sports Stadium. Working in partnership with Western Sydney University (WSU) and in collaboration with other stakeholders, which includes the Macarthur Bulls, West Tigers and the South-West Sydney Academy of Sport (SWAS) the CoE will be specifically designed and developed to provide programs that are in alignment with National and State sporting bodies, to support talent development pathways for athletes into elite sport through innovation in sports science and research programs. 

The facility will leverage of professional sporting bodies and other sporting associations (Little Athletics, Athletics NSW and SWSAS) community development and outreach programs to engage schools and the local community in community health and well-being programs.

Project Scope

The project features:

  • Construction of Sport Science tenancy area
  • Gymnasium
  • Sports participation facilities including aquatic recovery and change rooms for elite and community teams
  • Operations and media space
  • Shared meeting rooms
  • Sports nutrition space
  • Multi-purpose area for educational, training, community use and events
  • Office space for Sports Partners
  • Installation and commissioning of building services, including mechanical, electrical, fire and communications services.
  • Installation and commissioning of security system
  • Furniture, Fittings and Equipment
  • Food and Beverage/Commercial Kitchen
