What’s this about?
Albury City Council has requested an extension to the Albury Local Environmental Plan biodiversity certification order. The proposed extension is for a period of 8 years until 24 February 2034.
You are invited to make a submission about the proposed extension of the Albury Local Environmental Plan biodiversity certification. Submissions will be received by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW).
The Minister for Environment will consider the proposed extension and all submissions received before deciding whether to extend the biodiversity certification.
Biodiversity certification helps deliver housing in a timely way and deliver conservation objectives by considering both conservation and planning outcomes up-front.
