What’s this about?
The North West Bush Fire Management Committee is seeking feedback on a draft bush fire risk management plan (BFRMP) for the North West region in NSW.
A BFRMP is a document that identifies:
- bush fire risk to communities
- ways of reducing the impact of fires across an area to keep people safe and protect the things we value.
The North West Bush Fire Management Committee is made up of fire agencies, land managers and other stakeholders. They have been working hard to find ways to reduce the impact of fires in the Bogan, Coonamble, Walgett & Warren Shire Local Government Areas – protecting lives, homes, businesses, the environment, cultural values and other assets in this region.
View the plan online or at North West Fire Control Centre and Council Chambers in Coonamble, Nyngan, Warren and Walgett. Your feedback is important. By planning together, we will help shape the bush fire risk management plan for this area for the next 5 years.
