What’s this about?
The draft Lake Innes Nature Reserve, Innes Ruins Historic Site and Lake Innes State Conservation Area draft plan of management is on public exhibition until 18 February 2026.
A new plan of management is being prepared for Lake Innes Nature Reserve to update objectives and strategies in the current plan for this park which was adopted in 1999. The Innes Ruins Historic Site and Lake Innes State Conservation Area are being included in the Innes Nature Reserve plan of management which will satisfy the requirement under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974 for these parks to have a plan of management
By making a submission on the draft plan, members of the community can have a say about the future management of these parks.
Submissions received on the draft plan will inform the preparation of a final plan for adoption under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974. Once adopted, the plan of management will direct how these parks will be managed.
