What’s this about?

The Local Land Services Board is required to have a 10-year State Strategic Plan for Local Land Services. This plan sets the vision, priorities and overarching strategy for Local Land Services (LLS), including its 11 local boards.

Local Land Services is seeking feedback on its draft:

This feedback will inform the development of the LLS State Strategic Plan and support the 11 LLS local boards in developing their 5-year local strategic delivery plans in 2026.

Together, these plans support the delivery of the legislated functions of Local Land Services in the areas of:

agriculture
natural resource management
Aboriginal outcomes and engagement
animal biosecurity and welfare
travelling stock reserves
land management
private native forestry
invasive species (pests and weeds)
emergency management
plant biosecurity
customer service.

Once finalised, the publication and rollout of the State Strategic Plan will be subject to the approval of the NSW Minister for Agriculture, Regional NSW, and Western NSW.

The NSW Government encourages the community, landholders and other interested stakeholders to provide feedback by making a submission on the draft plans.

You could consider the following questions when providing your feedback:

Does the draft Statement of Strategic Intent and the draft Statement of Strategic Intent Implementation Roadmap set an appropriate framework to deliver the responsibilities and priorities of LLS?
Do you understand the purpose and outcomes of the Statement of Strategic Intent and Implementation Roadmap?
Are there any gaps in the Statement of Strategic Intent and Implementation Roadmap?

Submissions may be made public on the Local Land Services website unless clearly marked ‘confidential’.
