The annual count of people sleeping rough is a point-in-time record of homelessness in NSW. This information adds to our knowledge of where to target resources and support for those who need it most.
The NSW Government, along with key partners such as the City of Sydney, undertakes a street count every year. A consistent methodology is applied and counts are conducted through a similar period of time right across NSW.
Details for the state as a whole and by Local Government Area (LGA) are provided in the technical paper.
