Be involved in decision-making

Young people’s participation can range from participating in activities, to deeper engagement. Youth advisory groups and councils are a meaningful way for young people to shape decisions, co-create outcomes and be valued. Many local councils have a youth advisory group. 

NSW Youth Advisory Council

The Youth Advisory Council is a group of young leaders. They help the Government understand what matters to young people across the state.

NSW Aboriginal Land Council Youth Advisory Committee

The NSW Aboriginal Land Council’s Youth Advisory Committee are passionate, knowledgeable young people committed to elevating the voices of youth across NSWALC and within Aboriginal communities.
