Overview

The NSW Government provides grant funding to local community organisations and councils to strengthen the wellbeing of NSW communities through small local infrastructure projects.   

Since 2009, the Community Building Partnership (CBP) program has awarded more than $505 million to over 22,400 projects.

Some applicants will be issued a Request for Further Information (RFI) through SmartyGrants on Tuesday 25 August 2026. If you are offered a remedy opportunity, you must provide the requested information by 5:00 pm AEST on Tuesday, 1 September 2026. Late responses and responses via email will not be accepted. 

Please monitor the email account used for your application, including junk and spam folders, and log in to SmartyGrants after 5pm on Tuesday 25 August 2026 to confirm whether any action is required. Read the  Community Building Partnership FAQS for more information.
