The "Bland... far from Dull and Boring" Selfie Frame in Lions Park is a delightful celebration of an unusual yet charming international collaboration. This quirky attraction highlights the unique partnership between Bland in New South Wales (NSW), Dull in Scotland, and Boring in Oregon, USA. These towns, despite their seemingly unremarkable names, have embraced their identities with humor and creativity, forming what is known as the League of Extraordinary Communities. The selfie frame invites visitors to capture a moment of fun and whimsy, symbolising the spirit of camaraderie and the shared sense of humor that binds these communities together. The origins of this alliance date back to 2012 when Boring, Oregon, established a special connection with the Scottish village of Dull, creating what they called "a pair for the ages." This partnership was celebrated for its playful take on their names and quickly garnered international attention. In 2013, Bland joined this unique alliance, adding an Australian touch to the trio. The League of Extraordinary Communities was thus born, promoting tourism and community pride through their shared identity.
