Griffith Pioneer Park Museum

Griffith Pioneer Park Museum was opened in April 1971 and is a popular community cultural facility, and valued repository of the region’s unique history. The Museum consists of a number of distinct elements: Bagtown ‘Old Griffith’ main street; The Italian Museum depicting Griffith’s unique Italian settlement; Wine and Irrigation Building – telling the story of the local wine industry and irrigation history; Machinery and vehicle displays as well as An extensive and eclectic collection of artefacts and memorabilia. After exploring the Museum it is just a short drive to Hermit's Cave and Lookout overlooking Griffith's lovely rural skyline. The Museum is open with COVID-19 safe procedures in place. The health and safety of staff, volunteers and visitors is their highest priority, so they are implementing the NSW Government’s guidelines including physical distancing, limited visitor numbers, regular cleaning and disinfecting, and sanitiser stations throughout the museum.
