Overview of this event
Experience the brilliance of Matt Arthur and The Lazybones as they pay tribute to Eric Clapton's iconic "Unplugged" album, alongside some of his greatest hits. Matt and his band capture the essence and emotion of Clapton's timeless classics like "Tears In Heaven" and "Layla"
Matt Arthur, an expressive vocalist and blues guitarist from Central West NSW, leads The Lazybones—a six-piece group drawing on decades of musical experience. Following the 2024 release of Then & Now, they toured NSW, Melbourne, and Brisbane, receiving positive reviews for their engaging performances.
Keyboardist Sam McNally, a founding member of Melbourne's 80s band Stylus, has toured with Air Supply, John Farnham, Tommy Emmanuel, and Tim Finn.
Bassist Michael Vidale, currently tours with the Don Walker Band and an original member from Jimmy & The Boys. He was Slim Dusty's primary bass player for many years.
Drummer Dave Egan has worked with Matt Arthur for over two decades, previously serving as the go-to drummer for major theatre shows and holding a long-running position in Sydney's The Enormous Horns.
Vocalist Chris E Thomas, has sung with Vanessa Amorosi, Brian Cadd, Tina Arena, Richard Clapton, Wendy Matthews, and also with Gene Simmons.
Together, these musicians combine their varied backgrounds to create a distinctive live sound.
