Overview of this event
This four-hour, hands-on workshop will equip you with the skills and knowledge to get started on your native beekeeping journey.
Lead by local native bee expert Steve Maginnity, this workshop will cover native bee biology, bee box design, how to obtain your bees, bee pests and diseases, responsible beekeeping, and hive management.
You will also split a native bee hive, and have the opprotunity to taste some native bee honey.
A substantial morning tea is provided.
