Overview of this event
The Robert Oatley Mudgee Cup is the premier, annual horse racing event in the Mudgee region. Held on the first Friday of December each year, The Mudgee Cup is the launching pad to the festive season for visitors and locals alike.
Usually a sell out, the event is just as popular with horse enthusiasts as it is first time punters, all keen to enjoy the Mudgee hospitality and the fabulous trackside attractions that you would expect at any quality race meeting, including a premier horseracing program featuring the highly contested Mudgee Cup with prize money of $75,000, Fashions on the Field and a variety of seating and catering options to suit most budgets.
