What is the RWN?
From meeting at the crossroads with drought-stricken women in 1992, the NSW Rural Women’s Network continues to reflect and improve how we listen to rural women, link them to information and services and create opportunities that build personal and business resilience and strengthen rural communities.
Meet the team
Ellen has lived in far western NSW all her adult life and understands the value of good networks and support systems. Having operated a pastoral business, schooled children via distance educations, and worked with DPI in the Rural Resilience Program for ten years, Ellen has a wide range of experience to bring to the RWN. Ellen’s passion is the delivery of events which build connection, increase skills and celebrate the achievements of rural women.
Jody moved to Tamworth nine years ago as a small business owner. She’s come to love connecting her local community and creating new events for the region. As one of the finalists for the 2022 NSW Regional Woman of the Year she’s excited to now continue this work by joining the Rural Women’s Network!
Kate has spent her life in regional NSW and has developed a passion for helping regional and remote communities achieve their goals. With her background in community services and working with young people, Kate brings a unique approach to engaging with regional women.
