Tax

You will usually have to pay taxes when you earn money. How much you pay will depend on how much money you make. You will need a Tax File Number (TFN) to pay your taxes.

Understanding super

Superannuation is your money for retirement. Your employer must put part of your pay into your super account. Your super fund invests the money until you retire.

Debt

Debt is money you have borrowed and needs to be repaid. Debts include car loans, credit cards, buy now pay later services and mortgages. If you are struggling to repay your loans you can get help.

If you are interested in running your own business, the Australian Government offers new businesses help through the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS). The NEIS can assist you with accreditation, mentoring and financial support.
